First ride today of latest winter project.
1981 KZ1000 CSR, with LTD Mag Wheels and paintwork.
Bike runs superb. First time starter, smooth, very responsive, ticks-over beautifully and pulls from 30mph in 5th gear upto over 100mph with no hesitation or grumble and plugs are showing the perfect colours too.
These old motors are so simple but the best ever. The sound alone takes me back to being a boy !!
Great to be back on an early 80's air cooled dinosaur.

Looks great. Better than the original LTD or CSR ever did !
Top gear roll on description reminds me of the Bike Mag road test back in the day, something like "will pull from just over 1000 revs in top, accelerates like a jet fighter up to 5500 then takes off like a rocket" !
Those LTD motors were a bit different spec from the standard J and all the better for it in my book
Great project - enjoy the miles this summer
