I need put up more info about this so its a early gsxr600 swingarm ,if you use the bearing sleeves from the gpz1100 arm they fit perfectly inside the gsx bearing sleeves all you need to do is centre the arm using the shock mount as centre,i then found some info from i guy in Holland i think who does this sort of thing he said machine 5mm of the zrx12 sprocket carrier and move the arm out of line by 5 mm and thats the job done . I didn’t need to move the arm off centre i have clearance when the two sprockets are inline using a straight edge ill find out for sure next week when i fit the tyres

Pulled out the cam chain guide to give it a once over before fitting and found this

Is it good to go ?
Its a bad picture but it bulges out at the sides due to being squashed

Im about to fit my barrels ,im using the kawasaki service manual for reference ,in the book it refers to fitting the 5 o rings,1 is the cam chain tunnel i think the other 4 go on the 4 inside studs but I dont see them on the 83a1 parts list, are they required for my bike?
92055-1148 i think is the part number for other gpz’s

I've got one exactly the same

It came out the engine that had siezed
, ate the cam shells and thrown some down the middle of the engine.
That and the fact that the camchain tensioner spring looked like this

suggested that the tensioning procedure wasn'y followed.

Different years had different amounts of circular 'O' rings round the OUTER studs where the counterbores are or are not.
Either 2 or 4 or even none, so all you do is buy that number and put them in. They actually dont really work so a bit pointless but better than nothing hence the variation in numbers as they struggled to find a solution to the weeping oil at those locations.

The rear slipper blade is a judgement call based on having it in you sight and assessing the general deterioration or overall condition. I wont or cant say just based on one photo but i will tell you i replaced mine that was just like it with the HD version that was available about three years ago. It was from Suzuki Performence Spares.

Any expert advice or special tools around for fitting 75mm pistons into the barrels there’s not much of a lead on them after boring to 1170

In times past people on here have written of sections of gutter downpipe, pieces cut from paint containers, pot noodle pots and my own method; slices of yoghurt pots. Just need to make sure you overlap the ends a little and use cable ties to bind them round which you can cut off with snips once the pistons are in.
That will either make perfect sense or you will believe i have run out of my meds!!
