LOL, i only have one speed, fast, always worked that way !!!! must be working in busy garages back in the day.
yeah its practically done, just a few little bits and bobs like sorting a chain guard out, the bodywork has just gone to the painters so when that comes back i'll take it for its first run, weather permitting ??? so much for a winter project :??
undecided on the wheels still, either bandit wheels or a nice set of standard wire wheels ??????

it does pop a bit through the airbox when cold so a bit of fine tuning.

I think this project is going the way of a bike i built about 6 years ago, its one of them bikes I REALLY shouldn't of sold :( so i think this zed 1000 is a replacement for the 1200  but this is the colour scheme im going for.

still waiting for the painter to do the bodywork :( need to do a road test so cleaned out the LTD tank as much as I could and threw it on, bike ran pretty good, pulled like it should and all the gears are their. still a tad poppy on idle but not as much.
I did forget how bad the old front callipers are  so used to 2 finger braking on my GSX1100 with 4 pots on. will be changing them at some point.

its not the one the bike came with as it was rotten !!! but it bought this 4 into 2 off a member on this forum, its been on since i rebuilt the bike. I kind of like it but I think it'll get a good quality 4 into 1 at some point (when funds allow) :| or maybe different silencers !!!

rear wire wheel fitted, I can't get over how skinny they are  but that was the thing back in the day !!!! maybe should of gone for a slightly wider tyre :?? got to take the tyre off the front mag and fit it to the front wire wheel next.

thanks ollie
because the rear wheel is a bit taller than the LTD wheel the bike is gona lean over more than it does already !!!! so i believe the Z1000 A2 is about an inch longer than the LTD, is that so ?
