lol, yeah getting old is a bitch !!!! and i'm only 61 :(

but on a good note, the decals finally turned up  only took 17 days to come 120 miles  but its to fecking cold now to fit them !!!! much easier with the tank on the bike.
also the new tyre turned up, and also a seat sponge for a seat i'm putting together :)

Tyres always benefit fitting on a warm day too - or so I recon these days.... let the rubber warm up a bit and it seems to get a bit more flexible ?

Have you decided against a rear mudguard?

Amazing transformation ! That decal set has changed the whole look of that bike !! Looking really good to my eye. Looks like you had some sunshine too - always helps.... Keep off that road salt with all that extra chrome though - those wheels will be murder to clean.

just done the seat, needs the rubbers and the hinges fitting tomorrow.
I got the seat cover ages ago for a previous bike but never used it, these seats for the Z1/Z1000 are hard to find now so you have to make one, theirs a seller on ebay that sells the sponge precut to shape, when it turned up it fitted the LTD seat pan perfectly  didn't realize it did !!! i did have to trim the sponge at the hump a bit so it was a perfect fit for the cover.
happy with it.

if it was UK i could be interested, but the charges from the US won't be cheap. probably end up with a Delkevic, got one on my GSX1100 so i know they are good, its just the end can's arn't the best looking.

Can't get much else these days - Marving maybe but neither really hits the mark for me. Kerker used to do the race pipe with straight primaries under the motor instead of the "S" bend. Its a pity Delkevik don't do the same. The straight pipe silencer version would be ok otherwise. Got a Kerker street pipe must be 30 years gone and never used it - just looks wrong to my eye !
The seat looks great by the way - where do you get the covers and foam from ??

i bough the cover from ebay last year but can't remember who !!! the sponge i ordered last week also from ebay, he also does the cover but no pic's of it, I don't think it'll be a Giuliari cover though ? the hump on this sponge is too long to fit the Giuliari cover so cut it back about an inch to look right.

Original Zed Giuliari Two-Four seats are hard to find these days. One for sale in Germany recently but the whole thing was white - and still crazy money. Theres a business up north who can make you a cover I believe but I expect like most things these days it wont be cheap. Getting back to the exhaust, I'm guessing you've searched on line and D&K particularly ? A Z1100A system might possibly be made to fit with a bit of work - not a dead match for 1000A but not to much different unless theres an expert on the case ! I'd go with a Yoshi 4 into 1 if you could still find one - I guess it'd need to be chrome though ! Z1 4 into 4's would suit the bike but not the pocket - not my pocket anyway. Most people threw the Z1000 4 into 2's in the skip back in the day. A 4 into 1 sounds way better and saves a ton of weight too...

yeah I've seen that white seat. and their must of been sheds all over the place with the OEM exhaust system in just rusting away
being on a tight budget i think it'll have to be a Delkavic system, its just the can isn't the best looking !!! I think the pipe measures around 64mm ? so not a decent choice of cans that'll fit :( you can get the headers for about £250ish though. might be able to modify a decent can to fit !!!
