But

Best cleaning results are by vapour blasting or vapour blasting then burnishing- See link to Steve Smethurst, fantastic results, never heard a bad review of his work and loads of guys in Z1OC have used him (inc myself)

Baz,
OBR's A4 cylinderhead and barrels were definately vapourblasted.

If your considering having this done you really need to strip the motor, our kid bought a Z1B that was excellent, the motor had been vapour blasted by someone without stripping it (god knows how he sealed it to prevent grit entering the bowels). Finish was great but when I changed the tacho drive oil seal I found grit in there, luckily it had not migrated into the cam area.

IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT MY Z1B ( HOBBOS RESTORATION ) THIS IS THE RESULT OF STEVE SMETHURSTS WORK ON ENGINE FINISHING TOP NOTCH WORK AND YES YOU DO NEED TO STRIP ENGINE .HE REMOVED THE ENGINE STUDS COZ THEY WHERE A BAS...D

Thanks Guys for a fast reply.... hobo your bike is in the same condition as mine exept mine is a brown A4 ..and it looks like steve here i come ..

hobbo can u post some more pic`s mate your bike is nice i will post mine when ive gotten it out of hibernation
