well here we go again anouther z9 to build for next year the story so far,,picked up a z900a4 with a gsxr1100 engine shoehorned into the frame but it came with a tottally rebuilt z9 lump ,so sold the suzuki lump on ebay and put the z9 lump back into the frame had to line up the front and left lower mounting and reweld them into place as they were removed to fit the suzuki lump ,so at least its looking like a zed again with the engine in the frame ,,next was to start getting some parts up together, so on to good old ebay picked up a set of upside down forks of a gsxr ,front wheel, six pot calipers ,bandit 1200 discs ,brought a starter motor from a guy close to me so went to collect it and he had a complete well nearly z9 he was breaking so brought loads from him i,e clocks, engine covers ,a mint frame and the icing on the cake a mint kerker exhaust

,,i have got to sort out a rear end now ,going for gsxr1100 as they fit in to the z9 frame with out to much messing about with dont know wether to mono shock this one yet will get the back end in there and think about it later will start posting photos when i can get my head round how your supposed to do it am know good at stuff like that

anyway keep you all informed how its getting on

going for a nice little trip up to leeds in the morning to collect a complete rear end of a gsxr 1100

picked up a near mint harris exhaust the other day so now spoilt for choice either going for the kerker or harris ,any way one of them will be for sale shortly ,watch this space, so now i have most of the main parts sorted will get on with the build this week ,,still cannot get my little head around posting pics

opened a photobucket account then it all gets a little complicated for an old git like me

anyway all this typing is making my finger ache so back to ebay now to try and source a few more parts

znut, you could e-mail the pictures to someone for them to put up for you.
I am volunteering if required. If you trust me you could e-mail your login and password for photobucket and i could put them up there if you prefer.

1260 it and bring it out to the drag strip. Debbens are doing a very nice base circle grind on cams which gets 135 BHP with 1260 and its only a few hundred quid.
I dont know where abouts in Hants you are but if you need one there is a very good engineering shop just local to me who does a lot of work on these engines and these bikes in general.

fitted gsxr swingarm will have to get spacers made
front end i intend to fit will need a stem made
1260 kit maybe

well thats as far as i have got so far with other things getting in the way ,,will hopefully get on with it again in a day or two
