I thought John "JON BOY" Messenger had a Z1000J with 1170 kit, etc, gold engine casings and colour matched paintwork and leathers :??
Then he moved onto a GSX11EFE based biked.
Santa Stalker will be busy with the old Superbike mags
P.S. Just found a B/W photo of John Messenger on the 1385 NCK EFE from Dec 1987 Superbike.
9.54/146 mph and Overall winner of Ultimate Streetbike.
But where is JON BOY's old Z1000J/1170 with the yellow/red/blue paint and gold engine casings :?: :?:

EFE

#34 PostAuthor: KWACKERZ1 » Mon Dec 21, 2009 10:16 am

The EFE appeared in Jan87 superbike so any before that would have the GS1000 in it as it was retired and sold at the end of 1986 season but was built 84/85.

So look around that time Phil

That's Tony Middlehurst,Superbike editor of the time.
He raced the Pip Higham/VBS prepped GS1000 and then a GSX1100 Turbo :?? :?:
John Messenger ran a very smart and quick 1000J before going over to GSX power.

I think Steve would be proud that his bike is being restored, Steve certainly loved his Aeroquip. Can't rememer who did the paint job, I think it may have been Mechspray.

This is brilliant, they should make a TV show about it, instead of all that other sh** they put on the box. Well done - really looking forward to the progress pictures.
