z650/1000

2 days the day i start my new project it starts with a modified z650 f2 frame 2 take a z1000j motor the rear end is s/wing arm shocks,wheel and brake of a zrx1100 and afull front end of a 750 zepher ,standard tank and side panels will be retained and a tail unit from a z1000 a2, a2 4 seat has been cut down and modified 2 a single seat the exhaust is a one of consisting of kerker down pipes and a harris end can .zepher oil cooler front and az750 cooler rear will be added .torrossi rear sets,fork brace, steering damper will be added not made up mind about paint job yet ,? have promissed fer it for scottish bike show :roll: so lots 2 do will keep youposted on progress

sounds right tastey to me :D
i've just fitted a ZRX swinger into my B1 after it was monoshocked a while back, twinshocks are the new future :wink:
would i be right in thinking the motor hieght can be an issue, iirc the engine will fit but has to be taken out to remove the rocker cover

yucould be right jb didnt even think 2 try remove r/cover when motor was in i think i was glad got the engine in after hours of grindn an weldin , well we live and learn :

yes rich 11 weeks the day hope 2 hav all powder coating done by end of month which gives me 1 month for build :roll:

galaxian had 2 make rear engine brackets and bottom engine [front] mount cut from a j frame welded in kept [650 front top bracket ]
