She scrubs up well Gary

.I would check the voltage regulator is working correctly before to long if I was you

. The clear plastic terminal on mine was beginning to melt

A new rec /regulator combo unit from Z power has fixed it now.

I'm tempted to say my Wife, but if she was then why would I be fooking around with old bikes when I'd have much better 'toys' to play with!.

No real secret, just gunk and solvol along with a tootbrush and scotchpad........ and LOTS of elbow grease!. I also spray on a few coats of clear engine laquer which tends to even the tone and hide those dark/light patches which always remain no matter how much you clean the alloy.
A few more pic's....

Ah, mystery solved. Now I know why my bikes are never as clean as I would like, I used up all the elbow grease a long time ago.
