All of the requred bits and pieces are now with the engineering company.

1. Remove sheared bolts (couldn't get them to budge and didn't want to wreck the threads or casing trying any further)
2. Remove cylinder head studs (I have never had a problem with these before but the buggers wouldn't budge for me)
3. Repair the gear shift crank case support.
4. Hone the crank case cylinder barrel mouths to accommodate my other set of barrels as they are a tad wider
5. Weld the crank

Whilst I am waiting for the engine work to be completed it's back to working on the frame...

The mounting plate holes have been cut using a hole cutter to match the tubing then slid the mount over the new top cross tube for maximum strength and half mooned the bottom to sit on the existing cross tube.

Tacked the new top cross tube, top mount and bottom mounts.

The swinging arm and shock were mounted and then two of us jumped up and down on the very rear of the bike to see if we could break it. Even though it is only tacked in we couldn't budge it.

Started to do the full welding on the bottom mount and ran out of gas :(

The new shock mounts all tacked in.

No gas so started to tidy some of the welds else where.

Started modifying the seat and tailpiece rails and adjusted the rear V tube to match the side panels better.

Using extra long tube to exaggerate the angles first by eye then with levels and lasers to get spot on. In these pics you can clearly see that the right tube is still to high.

The tank, side panels and tailpiece are now mounted.

The tubes have been moved to follow the line of the side panels better.

The cross frame braces are in to add strength and support the seat and tailpiece.

My mate took a picture of me trying it out for size :D

Shame the front tyre is flat :(

The crank cases are back :)

The crank has been welded.

The crank mouths have been opened up for the larger bores.

The repair to the gear change support boss is VERY good I'm pleased to say.
