I know what you mean Steve. I had a friend fetch his ss50 round once he had restored it. He wanted me to check the engine over as he was struggling to get to 30mph. Once I pointed out the fact last time he had one he was 8 stone soaking wet, now touching 15 stone what did he expect!!!
I restored a Suzuki X7 3 years ago, same thing nice bike but with me on board 85mph max flat on tank looking a prat on the local dual carridgeway.
Once restored I am going to drop on some 350 heads and barrels if I can find any. Not sure if the 400's fit.
