Bit of an update!
Started to get some shipping quotes, Mark @ Harris originally quoted 700-1000 all in which is fine as it cost 900 to ship the Z1000R a couple of years ago, got an email this morning and they want 385 to pack the bike and 1695 to ship it, not that impressed.
So does anyone know or recommend any shipper that would collect from Harris and ship, last time the Zed went in a shared container which was the cheapest option.
Starting to think that I shouldn't have started this as I've also been let down with some spares I should have just bought another Zed down here!

Hi Gang
Got the shipping price down to just under 800 quid, just sorting the cost this side now, looks like its going to cost around $1000.
Expensive exercise importing bikes!
Anyway here's the final picture prior to loading, its now being created as a rolling chassis as it works out cheaper. The exhaust system needs to be packed along with the new screen and old Magnum fairing.

Finally been collected from Harris, they have done a great job, as mentioned before Steve Harris is a top bloke. The other bloke I had dealings with went round the houses so many times and answered email with riddles, sometimes it would takes days to get an answer from a simple question, not what you need with the time difference I have!
Got to wait for the container to Brisbane to be filled before its loaded on a ship, so I don't know when it will leave Blighty, I'll keep you posted.

Well she's on her way
Just got an email confirming that she is on a vessel, due to land in Brisbane at the end of June so should be clear mid July!
Quite a happy Chappy!

otherwise when you open the box it could be a pile of oxide!!
only joking !
lets see some pics when it arrives.
Well, as you know I have had two years to plan and I currently live near the sea!
I have a 'bike bubble' for one bike and it works a treat, looked in to a bigger one and Sussex out if I bought one from the UK there cheaper and I don't pay VAT, result!
So as well as the Harris in the box there is also a 5.4m x 2.4m carcoon and I'm really looking forward to setting it up!

The ship docks tomorrow morning, had the customs agent emails me for some information and a request for $758 clearance fee that I have to pay, still got the import charges to pay as well, expensive this importing lark!
But bloody well worth it

Well after 19 months its finally in my man cave, as you know I also took the opportunity to buy a Carcoon which I've set up and am very happy with!
We live near the sea and the salt air buggers them up, this way there safe and dry, bit mad but I'm happy with it!
