Be careful. I have used tough black as a touch up on an engine had a petrol leak paint reacted. make sure you use engine paint

Just like the PJ1 etc, It's not solvent resistant until properly cured.
It's much more durable if baked after curing overnight.

Cheers mate-will do-I'm guessing that the TOUGH BLACK temperature rating is ok to use on the engine block?

Yes! I've been using it for a few years .
Look at page 6 onwards in my zed900 road racer project a few places down from this to see the results.

I put them in an 'ultrasonic' cleaning bath - tried a 'heavy' detergent first but it covered the ally in white 'furry' stuff. Cleaned them up again and put them back in with a milder detergent - came out clean as a whistle
