That's lovely, well done. I completed a Z1R this summer and it's identical to yours. Only thing I've got to sort is the self cancelling indicators.....maybe !

stunning well done,which engine paint did you use in the end? Any thoughts tips?

Weaver - I used SIMONIZ Motorcycle Heat Dispersant Paint but I don't think they make it any more? (HO-SIMVHT145C). Think it's been replaced with Enamel paint (SIMVHT32C)
I cleaned everything THOROUGHLY using a combination of degreasers and an ultrasonic bath then just followed the manufacturers instructions - the only real tip I'd give regarding painting is to spend time on the prep and to make sure you wait until the missus is out before you use the oven to bake the paint...............
