I love shiney things, next job is the forks and looking at how the standard wheels suit it. Also, off to have a nosey at an aluminium tank (Cherrs Jeff) with endurance style filler cap
during Easter.

Hi, just got a tank off, Jeff (many thanks), it is alloy, has twin fuel mounts and fuel baffles. It's quite wide but very light. I thinking will go well with the endurance look.

I thought it was about time for a update. I have spent a small fortune on parts recently. The fairing and seat unit have been bought. The wheels, forks and swinging arm have been fitted. I have stripped the engine and have got it bored out to 1170 by Chris at Grumpy's.
I also got the head dipped to remove the powder coating and that will be sent off to get gasflowed, larger valves etc.
I splashed out on a set of Gazi shocks which look very good, along with Zephyr swinging arm and zrx1100 wheels.
The AP Lockheed brakes will be sent off with the twin headlights and all the other parts to be fitted by a local engineer.
Once, that's done Simon at Flying tiger will get the body work to do a design of his choice. Hopefully, it will be getting a dry rebuild by February to check all the clearances and a final rebuild in April, hopefully to be ready for Anglesey in May.

Just so happens that I went to the engineers yesterday and Lee had made the mounting brackets for the fairing based on the Kool endurance bikes,it looks fantastic. He has also started on the battery box and seat mount. No photos unfortunately,I will get some next time

Doesn't time fly.
It has taken quite a long time to get the cylinder head sorted and engine built. It is ready for the loom to be made and the paint work done. The aim is it to be sorted ready for Spa and a few shakedown track days. Once the loom is done, it will be stripped down to get powdercoated and parts ceramic coated.

I have gone for DYNA 2000, although Dyna s would have been sufficient. The main reason for Dyna 2000 is the fact that it has a rev limiter and when I get excited I miss gears.
