Ralphy - you is correct old bean... gone past that dodgy area and decided I'll hang on to the Harris for the moment. It's great only having 4 x bikes to step around... so I can get stuck into me bikes "as and when".

Looking forward to the S.W Rally 2016 - that's my realistic aim for this project

Can you let me know what cables you use, better still before you get them can I talk to you, I need cables for my Harris and it would be good if you could get a set made up for me when you do it!

WIRING

TBH, you probably don't wanna copy my efforts.

1] My Harris is already finished - I did it a couple of years back.
2] It defo is NOT the neatest arrangement
3] I got several different colours from VWP (Vehicle Wiring Products) and just did it.

Most of the modern wires take higher loads than the original stuff. I also solder all connections (spades, butts, bullets, etc).

There are some photo's way back in Projects Section somewhere.... I'll dig them out later today

 T'was your daft accent that confused me

I'm using an R1 throttle assembly....... but the inner was a bit long on the push side. So I got a universal set off Venhill and cobbled a new Pusher. Came with various nipples (snigger). There was a little blob of solder one end and it had a small nipple that fits the throttle end.... so I just had to cut it to length (Dremel with disc ) then at the carb end I used a screw-tight nipple to fit

I never have much luch soldering - probably coz they're s/s cables!

Photo's later
