MkII Aussie Rebuild
Finally found one, rode it for a few weeks then parked up in the shed.
Strip down begins, lets see what surprises lay in store. Off with the basics
Electrics, brackets, swingarm, gone
I use the method of stripping everything off then laying the motor in frame onto an old tyre & lift frame off motor. Finally motor on the bench for some much needed surgery.
All metal ware was sent off for blasting and etch primed in black. Stripped engine went off for soda blasting. In the meantime went and bought myself a spraygun and did some practice in readiness for painting when all the gear gets back.

You may want to contact Paul Doran on here. He had an absolutely mint blue mk.2.
I think he recently sold it to japan? He should have lots of pics and great knowledge on the

Im a bit of a purist too and that is one thing I hated. That 4 into 1 has already been sold, I have a balanced view on life and believe only 4 into 2's belong on the MkII.
Received but yet to be unwrapped from Tranzac in Queensland. Brand new 4 into 2's.

Well another day in the shed, had a bit of a clean up as things getting cluttered. Put a coat of paint on the barrels and the head. What a pain spray painting the head is, being a novice spray painter I been told black is the hardest colour to paint and looking at the head its got to be the most difficult item to paint. Im using KBS Motor Coater ( velvet black ) and am happy with the result.
Almost there
What to do while paint is drying. Might as well decarb the pistons. I use CRC gasket stripper as recommended by the engineer who rebuilt my head for me. Makes life very easy
There has been a bit of interest with the 4 into 2's Ive got packed away. Had a request for info and details so they ended up out of the packaging. Wife's at work so lay em out on the dining table, what she doesn't know wont hurt her
