Off the top of my head just those parts and also the spacer sleeve for behind the sprocket (been a few years since I did one)
Mk2 selector shaft needs to be put in the other locating hole but you can't get that wrong as the inner cover won't go on if it's in the wrong position.
No need to remove the top end .
Just flip the motor and lift the lower case ( not forgetting to remove the upper case 6mm bolts first )

The info I have (please correct it if it is wrong at all, just quoting someone who did it using a 'Busa swingarm and wheel);

Chain drive gearbox output shaft
Sprocket back plate
Sprocket cover and cable clutch actuator worm

Flip the motor upside down
Remove the side covers and ignition housing
Remove the bevel box
Remove the lower crankcase half
Take out the gearbox output shaft, and remove all the gears
Fit the gears onto your new chain drive output shaft
Refit the shaft, and refit the lower crankcase half
Remove the peg that the gear change claw spring acts on and put it into the hole next to it.
Refit the gear change claw mechanism into the other hole
Fit the sprocket back plate, sprocket and sprocket cover
Refit the clutch cover, ignition housing and ignition cover
Refit the Alternator cover

Cheers all ,sounds straight forward enough! even for me..lol..am really looking forward to doing it, the rear hub and front box weigh 15.7kg together! so should make the bike a bit lighter on its feet plus suit the overall look of bike with a decent arm in etc.

Hi all,have made some progress since my last post.over xmas got the engine out and barrels off ,won a new swing arm off flea bay which I think will suit the bike.
not sure of the make ? maybe a metchamex? will probably get it powder coated in the long run as the existing chrome isnt great and I think it would suit the bike better! ,was unable to remove the rotor despite my best efforts so Debbens whipped it off and discovered that the starter clutch body was loose as the 3 bolts had come loose and the threads were badly worn!,the crank is now there too being pulled apart and checked out and should be back in a few weeks all being well,while thats being done the frame is being powder coated ,am dropping it off tomorrow having finally ground off the rear indicator hangers which i dont like.
Spacers for the swing arm are being made up ,just need to source a rear disc and me gearbox bits ,not sure what caliper ill be using yet tho.

so its all ticking along ,not rushing it but just doing a bit whenever I get chance and the shed's not too artic! cheers

yes mate ,the bike is an ST im converting it to chain drive.

No problem Gus ,just realised this update hasnt tagged onto my previous posts! ,ill get the hang of this one day! lol

Have been slowly making progress since my last post ,put the frame in for powder coating ,however blasting revealed holes around the l/hand rear shock mounting point! had it repaired but missed my slot to be coated so had to wait another two weeks before could collect it.
In the mean time the crankcases were split and the crank left for checking at Debbens ,I wasnt aware of any problems but am getting everything checked to be safe.As it turned out id caught it just in time and all bearings needed re-conditioning!Got it back a day after the frame so was an expensive couple of days!.
Certainly looks better than when I dropped it off!..Am currently getting the rolling chassis up together ie wheels alligned with the new swinging arm etc ,the rear wheel is Gpz1100 B so am using a a standard rear Disc /caliper etc from the same bike,got the Disc from Germany as they seem pretty rare in this country? pleased with the service and even came with a free bag of Haribo's!

Looking good so far Stan. Are you changing the front end as well? Seems a few of us are interested in the chain conversion, I am looking forward to the end result.

That's a Davida swinger - it's identical to the one in my J, though slightly more chromey and a little less black...

Ah cheers guys ,its a shame the chrome is poor in places! will probably re-chrome at some point depending on their lee time.Re front end tho the bike is non-standard I want to keep a period look so its skinny tyres and dodgy brakes all the way!
Next am stripping the rear wheel to get it powder coated to match the front and sorting out the torque arm etc ,then hopefully making a start on the bottom end!.
