I had the same problem with the rear sets, use a spacers to move it out. Also had the same problem with the gearlever you have to use the one with the lever part of the footrest.
I have a set of Tomforde rear sets on my Endurance bike and they are brilliant. Pm your email address and I will send you photos of my set up.

Kipkawa rearsets - put a spacer behind the mounting plates. They'll fit perfectly then. I think it was 10mm but can go measure mine later if you need accurate. Save you a fortune against Tomforde (even though they are a thing of beauty). Not sure which version you have but gear lever side if you are using the Z1000S gear lever might foul the side stand mount. The other version they produce where the gear lever pivots off the peg is no problem.
RH switchgear - standard switch gear is too wide to accommodate the Motion Pro twin cable throttle. The switch gear, brake master and throttle just wont fit on the bar. I used an early R1 switch so as to keep the light switch. You just need to swap the connector block to match Kawasaki loom. Wiring colours are different but dead easy to work out!

Martin, good to know, I will take a look at spacing them out, I did think about that but also thought it was a good excuse to buy some Tomforde ones :) but that can be changed later I guess.

I've ordered the PMC switchgear so it has the throttle removed from the right hand switch, so a bit narrower. Hopefully all will fit on the bar.. Will find out soon.

Cheers

Here is a link to the technical bulletin concerning the sprocket bolt.

They are available via ebay in the US and possibly via Cradley Heath too.

Slow progress this last week, I caught the worst case of manflu I've ever had after Stafford, it's either some strain of Stafford Man Flu or potentially i caught something at the show standing too close to a H****.. Not sure but it floored me for almost a week whatever it was :)

Anyway today I decided to sort out a few bits and pieces and fit my flat slides and forgot just how hard they are to squeeze in there!! Never mind after a lot of help from a mate and some mechanical assistance from a wooden jig and a ratchet on they went!

Image

Topped of with some K&Ns and the motion pro throttle fitted.

I ordered a tomforde hydraulic clutch cover and ordered an Oberon cylinder to go with it, the clutch cylinder arrived super fast, the tomforde cover should be here any day and will be another piece of the puzzle sorted..

Tomorrow I'll fit a few bits I picked up at the show etc and make a bit more progress I hope.. Should be good to get fired up in next 2 weeks max.. :)

Could be wrong but i believe there may be two different varieties of carb mount with a different profile inside. One better suited to CV's and another better suited to flat slides!!!!

Assuming correct. Once they stated they went in ok, but damn they were hard to get shifting..

I lube my rubbers.

One spot of 3-1 wiped around the inside of the rubber makes a world of difference.

36 when its run in but 35 or a little less until you get past the 'tight rings stage' would probably be just fine.

Well my first Tomforde purchase arrived today and I've got to say the quality is super impressive, I will definatly be buying more!

Got an Oberon clutch slave as well and fits like a glove.. Also seems to be good quality stuff! Some more things to get fitted at the weekend.

Nice!

I have an Oberon slave cylinder on my KTM 950 Adventure and it's a lovely bit of kit... :)
