Those shocks are lovely! If only they didn't cost the same as my whole bike did when I first bought it...

So finally my rear disc arrived from ABE. Took three times longer than promised but quality seems good. Would I recommend them? Hmm not sure they are much more expensive than others so not sure it was worth it.

Anyway it fits much better. I think I could have gone a few mm larger but the pad is all now within the disc so all good.

Got changed over to the square headlight (thanks GB) and fitted a NOS rim I picked up. Some PMC headlight mounts which are rather nice from Dave.

Mudguard test fitted and I like it, nice and short and sits well.

Tomorrow I will get the bikini fairing mocked up and we should be good for paint time :)

Right now it's time for Ale in France..

It's looking grand Lee, and although it'd be rubbish in the wet I do like the undrilled rear disc. The forks are lovely too...

Have you decided on a colour?

Coose, Yeah the solid disc was definatly a choice based on the period look :) Colour is planned to be standard colour scheme it is now.. Unless I change my mind again :)

p.s. Harry Klinzman is on the KZ1000J Facemuck page. I'm sure he'd approve if you went yeller and stripey....

Coming together nicely now Lee. We did not need to worry about the mudguard. It fits great!

Do we have space in the club for two Yellow Zs? I wouldn't want to steal TLCs uniqueness

So I need to step up the pace on this build and get it finished.. Looks like my work is moving me elsewhere.. Where is still TBC! Maybe Sunny Aberdeen which would be not a big deal but could be further afield in which case the J will have to be added to my in storage collection! Ugh..
