Re: THE WIDOW SHAKER............................... What could possibly go wrong?
Brakes (or brake) was bled up at the weekend, as was the clutch. No leaks!
Sorted a couple of the final jobs this afternoon.
Using an old Lucas rearset, I robbed the best bits from the pair & mocked up the gear change.
A bit more fooking around & it fits through the floor. I do have the option of adding the footrest, should I need something to 'brace ' me foot against.
I've ordered a length of 10mm aluminium hex bar to use as a linkage, along with a LH M6 tap, but the linkage would have fouled the engine mounting bolt...
A bit of countersinking has resolved the problem.
Just waiting for a new chain rivet link & some long M6 bolts to mount the clutch outrigger & we're ready for testing.

What speed have you geared it too? Obviously, the tyres are "H" rated for 130 MPH

Re: THE WIDOW SHAKER............................... What could possibly go wrong?
Sorry Lads,
Not reported much recently........ Been busy with other stuff.
Gear linkage was finished a couple of weeks back. Even bought a left hand tap to do a 'Proper Job'!
Spent this afternoon on the 'Final push'. Fitted and wired in me 'twin headlamp' only to find it's dimness was caused by the fact it has 24v bulbs fitted, some 12v LED items are on their way to me.
Hacked up the 'instrument binnacle' so that it would fit around both the clutch & brake master cylinders, refitted bodywork & the front basket.
Fitted new carpet, so that me slippers won't get dirty, then finished off with a few 'go faster' stickers.
Plan to take the thing to the storage yard I use in Bath for 'shakedown' tests on Saturday
I'll report back after that.

Get someone else to report back (once they stop laughing) 'coz I don't think you'll be in any fit state...either physically or mentally.

Can't decide if this is brilliance or madness
Either way, can hardly wait to see the video, or up close at the Lode maybe?
