Spent a little time on this today, but ended up taking two steps backwards. :x

Firstly I made a return throttle cable, but the routing is so convoluted having two cables won't let the throttle 'snap' back. So that'll be scrapped & a single cable throttle assembly will be fitted once it arrives from Pit Bike Spares. (I do like their prices........ Not like buying Kawasaki parts!) :smile

Second waste of time was my 'Safety lanyard'. Simple enough to fit, just spliced it into the main feed to the key. The thought of being thrown from the machine & then seeing it fook off up the high street did not appeal. However..... The switch I have only has closed contacts once the lanyard has been pulled.  I have an alternative Durite version on it's way.

On a brighter note, I've just re-polished the edges of my repainted tank badge & glued it to the tank. :lon :lon

I'll advise on 'shake'down nearer the time. Time and venue will be on a 'need to know' basis. :sou

Steve. I wonder just how difficult it would be to make this road or pavement legal?

I've always wondered how 'road legal' the battery powered feckers are? No tax, no insurance, no lights, no number plates, no license. :nono :nono

There's an old boy that often flys past me in a morning whilst I'm walking me dog & he deffo ain't doing 4mph. :ghostface

Scooters manufactured as "road suitable" will have to have a minimum speed of 6mph and a maximum of 8mph. This type of scooter normally has a 4mph button as well which is the maximum permitted speed on the pavement. "Road suitable" must have a minimum of two rear and two front lights complete with indicators. I reckon this one will be more than suitable, I can see the headlines now............................."MAN OUTRUNS POLICE PURSUIT ON INVALID SCOOTER ON M4"

New 1/4 turn quick action throttle assembly fitted.

Brake lines made & plumbed in.

Next job will be to fit clutch outrigger, fab lines & bleed it all up. Then we're pretty much good to go. :yay :yay :yay
