Progress Jan '15
Had a chance to do a bit of testing and bodging things up (temporally) to see how things will work or look:
Bodging like this:
testing like this:
and this, a clamp meter around the Starter Cable to see current draw:
the Starter was drawing between 69 and 105A with a stone cold engine with the Plugs in.
Happy 2015 !
regards
Howie

Horace is HOME !!
Rob delivered Horace home today. Still needs the wiring Loom setting up but that's the job for this afternoon !!
Just a few things to be adjusted - but the aim now is on the road ASAP for a test flight.

My ex RAF mate stayed with me for a couple of weeks and showed me pictures of this bike, the Mk4 tank and name stand out!
Might be a coincidence but do you know MG?

Its a Dunlop SportsMax 180/55 ZR 17 on a 750 Slingshot rear wheel, 5.5" wide. It's about the widest tyres that will fit the standard 'arris Swinging arm. I tried a 6" from the TL1000 but it is just too wiiiiiide to not rub on the tyrewall.
New Swinger is planned but I reckoned there are enough changes been done and it is time to get on the road at last !
