The Copex that I use is 32mm, it's a flexible hard plastic, the inner and outer sleeve can both be used as both are split along the length, the diameter is not really an exact science as masking tape could be used to stop rotation.
'O'Ring chain first used on the Z1b.

Carbs are now fitted, all went well :)
Spent a little time neatening the cable routings.
Plan to spend some time in the evening during the next week fitting the exhaust and hopefully ready for first start up next weekend :D

Fitted the exhaust tonight.
The method I used was to ask Julie for a hand
Bit of grease on the copper washers to hold them in place.
Placed the connecting rubber on the inside (bottom) Exhaust.
Whilst I lifted the front of the inside pipe into place Julie lifted the rear and put a screwdriver through the mounting bracket on the exhaust and through the exhaust hanger,I then loosely fitted the clamp.
Outside exhaust exactly the same, I lifted the manifold end into place whilst julie held the rear of both exhausts removed the screwdriver made sure both exhaust were in the connecting rubber and then inserted the screwdriver back through both exhaust and the hanger.
WHAT A GAL :D
Again I loosely fitted the exhaust clamp.
I then removed the screwdriver and inserted the bolt.
Tightened up the clamps, tightened the connecting rubber, tightened the bolt.
Otherside repeat.
:D :D

Hi Steve
people who work on old Zeds should have an extra pair of hands when putting the exhausts on. Lucky you have Julie to lend you that extra pair!
Well done, she's looking stunning !
Greetings

Started first press :D :D
Turned it over a few times on the starter without petrol.
Re-checked oil and topped up as oil pump and filter had now been filled from engine turnover.
Added petrol, checked for leaks, pressed the button.......
AND SHE'S AWAY :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Would like to thank members -
Zedhead, Dave at Saisei for all his advise and contacts. (And Parts :) )
Buzzard at Buzzworkz for Engine Restoration.

And loads of other members on here who helped greatly along the way, could never have done it without the club. :)

No ride out today as weather sh*t, but will post pictures on a new thread once we get out
