Have fitted new steering head tapper roller bearings and Fork Stanchions.

Rushed home from work tonight armed with Fork Top advice from z1bman and a manual from Dave @ Saisei.
Front end now correctly assembled :)

Quick update.
Engine taken down to Buzzard for restoration.
His workshops are very impressive, well nice guy.
Build steady as she goes :lol:

Looking good ..... be a while before I am at that stage and I am very envious of your rear guard ... just got one myself but its not as nice
Is it correct that the UK light mounting bracket is different to the US one ?

As far as i am aware there is no difference in the mounting brackets ?
Certainly the mountilng holes are exactly the same.

The mounting brackets are different, the UK (long fender) is longer and has a different angle to match the fender.

US (short guard ) part no. 23036-017

Euro (Long guard) part no. 23036-033

They look completely wrong if fitted on the wrong fender.

I was comparing them yesterday .....the euro one seems to be more bulbous at the top as well as a different angle
