Lovely bag of goodies there, ready to go back into some beautifully clean casings!
Couldn't help noticing what looks like a crack between the plug hole and the ex valve seat on pot no.2

Ref crack between exhaust seat and plug thread. This is a thing that occurs quite often and I've seen it In lots of heads in the past nothing to worry about. I reckon half the heads ive done have the odd crack in them. Buzzard@ thebuzzworkz.

Shims sorted 0.004" to 0.005".
Static setting timing.
Just the sump and cam cover to go :) :) .
Will be picking up from Buzzard this Sunday :D
I will report on how many times I knock the bike over trying to fit it in a couple of weeks.... :lol:

Picked up the engine from Buzzard on Sunday, very pleased :D
so I made sure the frame was wrapped with Copex, great stuff very tough, there is no way the frame can get damaged using this, would recommend.
Invited my son and mate round to give an hand, the 3 of us put it straight in without incident. :shock:

What size/type of copex did you use?

motor looks very nice.never new the z1a had a chain oiler
