It only shakes at Snetterton when crossing that line of green paint I Left on the track  .

I think I will leave mine as is and perhaps look at different offset yokes if it does not work well.

So this project rolls on piece by piece
I managed to source a better tank so now have a decent tank.
And have been mostly playing around tying to get the engineering sorted on the bike.
Wheels are now all aligned and in place, with Ap lockheed front calipers, I could have sworn I had took more pictures to upload but cannot find them.
IMG_2011.JPG
I made some footrest plates and some rearsets from old gsxr ones and then had anightmare trying to get an exhaust to fit. Ended up with using a set of Harris pipes I had for another bike, but they seem to fit ok now.
IMG_2011.JPG

The tank (newly sourced and decent inside) looks like it will work ok with the mikuni carbs, not sure if it will clear the petrol tap with CRS fitted though.

This pics show early stages of the ally battery box mount I decided to make.
The standard box is visible under the bottom edge of the sidepanelas so cosmetically I thought it would look better lifted up.

You can see the footrest brackets in this shot, still not convinced with them but moving the pegs to the back holes gives a comfortable riding position.
Also you can see the sidestand bracket that needs cutting off as it will foul the gearchange.

The next job was to plastic weld the mounting lugs on the tailpiece, which I originally thought was glass fiber but its actually an original. So using an old fairing in fill panel and tie wraps I moulded some new lugs into the tailpiece.
No pictures though :(
But it was worth trying and it has worked out well.

Bodywork has now gone off the the painters, so the next jobs are,
Sort out the oil cooler mounting, Tacho mount,
Sort out the sidestand and a couple of bits of welding to the centre stand bracket and then strip it all down for powder coating.

Also made up a rear ally under guard to mount the light which I have slightly recessed which looks better in my opinion.

Also the engine was stress tested by lending it to my mate for Spa, it passed with flying colours and is a strong engine, although he fried the clutch. :??

Thanks Mark,
I was going to use an engine that was used at Spa last year but this one is a newer fresher motor that came from Marlin so I know it will be good.

Its been a wile since I touched this one but thought I should get on with it so started with the front end.

310 zzr/zxr discs are fltter and give enough offset when using a gsxr slabby front.

So i assembled the front with some captive spacers and its new brakes.

Also after playing around with a couple of exhausts I settled on the Marshall.

Fitted the inlet Rubbers as well and reminded myself why I bought this motor.

Minor set back with the 310 gold discs as I was not happy with the clearance, so swapped them out for zx6r discs.
Clearance is perfect now.

Standard ZZr 11 Discs are 310mm ZXR750 ZX7 ZX12R ZRX11 are all 320 so you have a few options when fitting Slabby wheels.

I opted for the ZX6R ones as they are 300/305 and cleared the calipers better.

Also made up some brackets for the exhaust and side panel mounting, will post some pics later.

Also started trying to figure out how to mount the fairing and managed to source an headlight that may work,

After much deliberation and cutting of ally I managed to get the fairing mounted up ,

Think its in the right place :rock
But may need adjustment once I figure out which clocks to use.
