A refurbed crank courtesy of Chris Appleby, and some new rims. Progress is on the slow side but should be good for summer.

Nothing looks cleaner than a nice Satin Silver block surrounded by a deep gloss black frame. :)

That looks fantastic. Just one question, are you going to fit the cam chain on the crankshaft before you put the top on?

Hi chaps, yes the cam chain is on, I've also fitted new bearings whilst I've got the block split. There will also be new roller bearings, clutch plates etc. Deep joy, keeps me out of mischief .

Thanks for the encouragement, not much happened lately. Work is in progress on the head, ( curtousy of Buzzard) and managed to dig deep and purchase a set of new exhausts, big box on the left!!!!! and managed to get a replica headstock sticker which im very pleased with, and clocks from Z Power.

Shouldn't be to long before i can start her up and test things out. So far its gone ok, help on here along the way, but im no rivet counter and it was always going to be a full resto, not much of the original bike left as it was a none runner and it appeared to have been left out in the elements for a long time.
But i enjoy the challenge and when ive finished I'll have two of my favourite bikes from the 70's, a Z9 and a kettle, what more could a man ask for,,,,,,,,,,,

I got my engine back from Buzzard a couple of weeks ago (Lovely Job) and today I have undone my "Big Box on the left" should be fitting them one evening next week.
Keep up the good work.
p.s. Love the Kettle
