Hi guys
correct me if I'm wrong! I have been reading somewhere that Kawaski never produced a Z1R TC in their factory and that all the turbos were retro fitted on NEW bikes by the Turbo Cycle Corporation in California.. Kawasaki didn't gave any warranty on those bikes.
Allthough they were, and still are, great performing bikes!
Greetings
Philippe

Correct.
It was Alan Masek a former Kawasaki USA general manager who had started the Turbo Cycle Corporation company in California and made an arrangement with Kawasaki in North America to take stock blue Z1R's, install an ATP kit then have the completed “Z1R-TC” sold through Kawa dealers without a warranty.
Approx 250 stock blue TC bikes were produced and then the following year another 250 approx Mollys.
Some of the Mollys may have been unsold blue TC's that were repainted and modified .
