Mike was your ST a UK bike and are the handlebars standard?
Yes it was a UK bike according to the V5C and registered in 1979. The only US'ism on the bike is the rear reflectors on the tail - but kept, and gave them to the new owner.
Can't say with the handlebars but the original clutch cable that came with the bike was wayyyyy too long so perhaps had higher bars at some stage.

After a ride out today the center stand snapped.
luckily this happened at home and damaged an indicator.
Will weld up the stand and carry on.

Whilst out riding Saturday I noticed oil leaking from the differential.
The seal seems to be leaking

This bike has covered 6000 miles over the last two years mainly around the Brecon Beacons.
It has performed very well, very small problems.
Does anyone know where to get the seals for the differential?
