Did a little bit more on Z650 this weekend both crankcases cleaned up now but a bit bling
for me so im gonna try scotch brite to tone it down before assembly

the bling will go away after a few weeks, so don't bother, scotch brite will only make it more bling!

Frame now gone for powdercoat should be back tomorrow so hopefully a roller soon just got forks
to put together new stanchions seals etc , still cleaning engine checkin parts and ordering as req
oh what fun we have

Fetched frame back from powdercoat yesterday great job as usual ,ive had it done Satin for a change
Heresy to some but looks brill to me ,ive got her on bench now swing arm in place all bolts i put in for
powder coating removed so a fun weekend assembly on way
The swing arm didn't come up to good fair amount of corrosion marking so im gonna dig out one of my
spares and get it done with next lot ive to take

New modern bearings fitted and forks rebuilt with NOS stanchions & seals bottoms blasted with glass beads
scotch brighted then sprayed with clear lacquer the Jamie Whitham way and now back where they belong
hopefully new shocks and sprocket carrier bearing i forgot to order "the pleasures of age hey" will arrive

Only a bit of progress on Z650 but it is a roller now and most of other parts are ready for fitting
couple of photos showing whats been taking my attention , ive slipped further into the dark side
a couple of 1970s Tridents have joined GT750 Kettle trying to overpower the Kwaks

back onto the z650 today after a clear up of cluttered workshop ,blasted the disc centres ready
for repaint and dug out the wiring harness ready to be cleaned and thorough check out before
putting back on frame ill get some photos later

The engine is all reassembled ready for putting back in now bores left standard just
honed and new rings , cylinder head had valves redone and a good clean like the rest
of engine so just waiting for my Son to visit so he can lift it me in

Started to check over the wiring harness yesterday clean her up etc all nice mainly except for some
extra wires in headlight with scotch locks but what do u expect from a USA bike they luv wiring extra lights
on things bless
My mate popped over tonight to use my ultrasonic tank and lifted engine in for me
Back Surgery bars me
from that sort of thing now , so plenty to do and more Projects piling up

got discs all fitted today new bolt tabs etc so she's officially a roller
i couldn't resist the chain to i love to hear them when moving it around
wiring harness cleaning and checkin moving on nicely to
