I love the RX, they are cracking bikes and they do handle , just different from the 900, much nicer engine and best induction roar of any bike ever when riding(no one else can hear it !), pic of one of my RXs, 3000 miler, fitted with later mirrors

Re: GPZ1000RX Project
Love the Rx I have 1 I am restoring which needs a lot more time spent on her and 1 which was a import this is a nija 1000 r in totally original condition she was on the road but now is running rough as f**k and conks out after about 4 miles and not had the time to get her a makeover and I 1 which is now just parts ! Time is running short to appreciate them all . It's nice to see any bike put back on the road

Re: GPZ1000RX Project
If you sell the bike and the new owner doesn't want the spares, give me a yell!
Hope your back improves and you can keep it!
Higher bars p'haps might help?

Re: GPZ1000RX Project
I've recently bought an RX and she's not far off running again.
Last on the road in 2002 with 31,000 on the clock. Can't wait to ride it.
That's a great job you've made of yours, Bill.
Gary.

Mine runs for the first time in God knows how long!
Still a bit of work needed to get it through the MOT, but it lives and that's a big thing. It's made me smile.
Re: GPZ1000RX Project
congrats
Re: GPZ1000RX Project
If the riding position is not for you then try a set off bars from the 1000 r Nija which is the same bike but the bars are higher and come up on the rider side and not the speedo side or poss get a set from a Gpz 500 which are higher still
