its worth remembering that the 1000J Exhaust are the same all but the Numbers
there was a mint one on ebay as well but the guy wants £2300 odd the DK one is double what it should be for that condition

just my thoughts

Very impressed with how those cams turned out :up
Initially I'd have taken them for scrap !

Took advice from 8 valve mark
Oil the cams wrap in oiled kitchen roll for a few hours then I used a scotch rite pad to clean them up,

Regarding the mk2 exhausts from DK, when I bought my first ever Mk2 in 1980 it had original exhausts, they lasted about 18 months before our climate wrecked them, so I bought an Alfa 4 into 1, very load and anti social :D :D :D, when I first had this one in 1995 it also had originals they also rotted quickly so put a Marving 4into 1, personally I think the 4 into 1 suits the Mk2

Taken a look at the cylinder head over the last couple of days a good degrease a coat or 2 of a good paint stripper (the original coating is proving to be stubborn)
It appears the exhaust valve clearances where virtually closed because of the carbon build up, I also believe the head has been off at some point due to a broken fin where you would have expected it to happen, definitely not me or the previous owner because neither of us has ever stripped the head off the bike and it looks like old damage

Gave the the carbon build up a clean with a fine scotchbrite pad soaked in oil, needs more work but only spent just over 5 minutes per cylinder to get to this stage, had give up before hypothermia set in, (the trouble with concrete garages this time of year )
Also noticed the valve cut on No1 exhaust looks a little odd and this is the one on the test I did the liquid just drained out in under 30 seconds, which again makes me believe the had has been off before.
Thinking back to when I originally bought the bike around 1995 every gasket was new and there was blue gasket sealer visible.
