Z1000H 1980 value, not been taxed since 1988  Any idea on value peeps, fuel injection all missing and blacked off, on carbs, wrong seat, no airbox, may have the opportunity to buy it.

Looks like a mod'd Dresda swing arm to me. I've one on a 650.

Hi Swirl
I wouldn't pay more than 1500 £ for it. It's missing some vital parts that really makes it an H. Only the frame and engine numbers says it's an H. Nobody can see its an H when she's running on carbs. If you buy it to restore it I wish you all the best, just remember the H parts are very hard to find, it seems to me they're made of unobtanium !

Mk2'S values are increasing and I paid for and sold a project one with less parts than that for more than 1500,
If you get it for less than 1800 you have done well, I would bid the seller a grand and see where you go.
(or pass me his details and I will :D :D :D )

I personally wouldn't give more than a grand for it as you'll need to spend some serious bucks on it to make it halfway nice. What you have there is effectively a MKII with lots of bits missing but H numbers? There's a lot of original bits missing if you wanted to make it standardish.

GPZ B FI is much better, but no where near the same. On the H it's called EFI and DFI on the later GPZ.

To be a proper H it would need the pukka injection system.

A very niche bike with a limited following compared to say a Z900A4.

Rob on here is a massive fan of them and has loads of them so might be able to help get parts for it if you decide to buy it. It's like a wooden boat - buying it is the cheap part

Not sure what swingarm that is but I don’t think it’s a modified one coz there’s one here in the first picture.viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44474
