Just committed to buying another MK2!
Been stood for quite some time. Tidy bodywork a bit of corrosion here and there and pretty grubby.
Non standard exhaust, shocks, mirrors and seat cover/foam on original base.
10K km on the clocks.
Hoping I can just give it a good clean, bit of tidying up a mechanical re-commission to get it roadworthy.

great find! It looks like an A4 to me (year of production 1980).
Do these MK2 grow in the wild in the UK? It took me 8 years to find one!
With a bit of work it can become a great bike!

No, they are super rare in the UK. I've found this one in Italy.
Not cheap, but I think the price I have paid is fair. The owner has had is looked at by a classic bike specialist who has appraised it as being in good shape. We shall see, always a risk when you are buying without viewing...

The paperwork says May 1980, so you were spot on I think.
I do prefer blue and the A3 pinstripes, but one can't be too fussy when it comes down to it.

MK2 has arrived from Italy. Not in bad shape. 9000km, been stood since the mid 80s.
Planning to check it over, get it running, mechanically recomission and a bit of re-painting and polishing here and there.
