Hiya Noel, good to see you're still around mate.
You'll have to drag CJ along to Dakota for a RWYB session this year sometime

Good luck with the resto......that colour's lovely - I thought the pics were b/w for a second. Also like the engine spec - interesting to see what the performance ends up like.

If you decide to sell the footrests, I'd be very interested as looking for some like that for my 1000.

Cheers,
Hilton.

Wow, that lump looks really compact in there. :D :D
I love the sleeper theme as well.

First car I remember as a kid was my brothers 105E which he had new in '65. 1200 super that lasted for about a year before it got a 1500GT Cortina lump in it. That was followed by a 1500GT Tina & Mk1 Lotus (seen the prices of those nowadays) then a MK2 RS2000 which he had for 20 years.

I had Mk2 Cortinas, Mk1 RS2 and loads of V6 Capris........sadly all now a distant memory. If I had the facilities and funds I'd love a MK2 Tina with a YB Cossy lump in it with sleeper looks, that would surprise the chavs in their Corsas

Dave, Ford made some brilliant cars in the '60's and '70's. Take a look at the magazine stand at Smiths to see how many publications are devoted to that era.
Saw a MK1 Lotus Cortina for sale at the Race Retro show at Stoneleigh last year. Price; £22000!!
MK1 RS2000 and Mexico are still cracking looking cars.
Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.

Phil you should have bought that Lotus, it was peanuts at that price :D :D

A genuine ex Clark Mk1 Lotus sold for £130k late last year, I've also seen a couple of top rally spec Mk1s for £60k recently. A Mk2 RS2000 made £20k and an RS3100 Capri made £17k a few weeks back.........and we think the price of early Zeds has gone mad

I do love those classic 60s and 70s Fords though, wish I'd kept a few of mine with hindsight
