Z1-R/H
Well I bought the H for the frame to put my Z1R 1045cc high compression motor in, turns out it hadn't been on the road since 1988 and looked to be a UK bike with matching number, it went yesterday to Rpeters emporium, noce to meet him genuine nice Zed head. So we move on in the deal I took delivery of a H frame, so along with my Z1R engine and bodywork usd kwak front end and davida swingarm and pair of Hodna wheels we have the start of the project. First job is some mold bracing
Re: Z1-R/H
very exciting project, look forward to updates on this baby
Re: Z1-R/H

Not the colour for me, it will stay white for the time being, yoshi cyclone and ohlins and a Z1r seat are higher on the priority list
Re: Z1-R/H
So I've been away for 9 days with my wife and lovely children so no cave time, I have done a little bit more negotiations and.bought Timyoungmans raced and braced Z1-R frame, so the engine frame and bodwork are now all 1978
Just got to work out how to get it from Bonny Scotland to the cosmic centre of the universe Ellesmere Port Cheshire.

Re: Z1-R/H
Little bit of playing today, pressed the stem out of the yokes, and a bit of precision engineering in the cave and the Hodna wheel is in the ZX9R forks.
Re: Z1-R/H
I had a bandit stem o the shelf so a visit to a friend tomorrow to get some sleeves made up to fit the bandit stem into the yokes properly
Re: Z1-R/H
Nice little bit of welding, jobs a good un, off to see my other buddy tomorrow the Postman to get a tyre on.
Re: Z1-R/H
I nearly got brave then I remembered I'm using the other frame from Scotland, think I'll wait till it lands before I start cutting and boreing the davida arm to fit
Re: Z1-R/H
Just won a fully rebuilt rear brembo caliper on the bay, its hopefully going to get hid in the triangle inside the davida swingarm
Re: Z1-R/H
Pair of temporary tyres on to get ride hide set up and dry build so all brackets and mounts are on before the Z1R frame gets blasted and painted
Re: Z1-R/H
Braced and raced Z1-R frame has landed and the new style logbook turned up in my name on Friday so happy days. Thanks Timyoungman for a easy and pleasant transaction.
