Bike came with old KONI shocks. Decided to have them restored rather then to buy new replica MK2 parts. They are black and look kind of similar to genuine shocks.
Brought them to a specialist just three villages away from me.
Before pics and already dismantled within 3 minutes

Good call on the Konis. Very period and much better than the standard shocks.

Already pick up the rebuilt KONI.
Powder coated, polished, new: oil, oil seal, rubber, plastic ring, spacers and sticker.

As bike came with that RAASK footrest and I didnĀ“t got the original parts, I had to find and buy everything here.
Found a NOS brake pedal. Genuine finish is dull chrome.
Problem was the brake rod.
Z1000, Z1R, MK2 have different part numbers and different lenght.
MK2 rod is 133mm, difficult to find.
I got a nice rod from a A1 (I assume), 163mm long. Had to shorten that (on a lathe) a cut 10/1.25 thread. Done by a mate.
Genuine finish was yellow cinc. This one had got new chrome, OK for me so far.
Bought a used kickstart in good condition. Have to find correct bolt for that one.
