Nearly finished z900 project

#1 PostAuthor: Ultim8pc » Mon Oct 14, 2019 11:03 pm

Just picked up this nearly finished z900a4 resto.
Needs pipes and paint.
Has wrong seat cover.
A quick look shows there are lots of other bits n bobs. I'll have a good look tomorrow and see.
But overall, very happy!

Again, I was pretty lucky to find this and the German owner was very communicative and amenable.
It's been built from mainly repro parts and the engine has had a top end rebuild and hand polished.
But it came with all the original parts and a spare engine which is mostly rebuilt! (So if I can find a frame I can prolly build another bike).
All the invoices for parts and work have been supplied.

It didn't arrive until late last night and not had too much chance to look it over, but so far I think it needs:
4/4 exhaust (picking up at Stafford).
Painting. Hoping Hutchy has a set for me.
Tank and sidepanel badges
Battery
Seat cover - It's got a z1a cover on it for some reason...
Throttle, tacho and speedo cables
Airbox silencer
Toolkit
Owners manual
Has the OEM rectifier and regulator so I'll prolly, replace those with a combo one.

More news when I've had a bit of time to fondle it.
