Yes its a R90S replica fairing, it will need cutting back a bit lower down, as at full lock it just hits the tank. It didnt come with any mounting hardware, so will have to make something. Was going for a Mad Max 1 / Stone look, but now having second thoughts.

That said, with no fairing it really needs the iconic twin clocks, but at the same time I want to keep the 80mm speedo/tacho it already has. I see Z-power sell a pair of clock surrounds for £40, but doesnt say what diameter they are?

Great progress. I've been following this for a while. What rear shocks did you go with and why if you don't mind me asking?

Went for K-Tech Razer, they built them to my spec.. same as a ZRX1200 but with slightly lighter springs. Only thing I don't like about them is the name and sticker..

BTW I have a build thread of the bike on YT is your really bored.. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... MEk2ljR_Zw

The 4-1 collector has been welded up at last, now waiting to get the hanger plates back which are being machined to make them look a bit less of an eyesore.

Drew up a wiring diagram one evening, that done could make a start on the wiring. Fitted the front indicators.. looked at loads online, these seem to work well on the bike. While at the back of the bike, the early Z1 tail lamp and indicators will need a mounting bracket. With the frame and duct tail being widened, the tail lamp looks a bit small now.

Fitted the GPS speedo sensor, under a side panel next to the M-Unit, while on the RHS fitted the rectifier/regulator. That done been slow going making up the various wires and multi pin connectors to match. But at least its a start.

The B1 engine uses these so called 'stopper sprocket' along with a bolt to hold the front sprocket on the shaft. Not sure how they are supposed to work, but anyone know of a source? And if not, what do you use instead?

Thanks for the info. Anyone know where they can be bought in the UK. Z Power don't seem to show them on their website, nor can I find any on Ebay..

The small tabs do all the work stopping the stopper (32085) rotating, the large tabs stop the stopper riding over the small tabs. Without the stopper being able to rotate there is no pressure on the big tabs. I suspect on many chain and sprocket changes the old inner sprocket stopper (92022g)was reused.

Looking good apart from tail lamp, an ER5 or 6 lamp will look better.

What 'form' (shape) does youre offset sprocket have?
Cant see a pic in the thread.
The retro 'sprocket bolt locking mechanism' takes up a lot of space in the offset sprocket recess.
It is also reliant on holes in the sprocket which the standard flat sprockets have. Not seen an offset sprocket with holes in it.
I use an offset sprocket but it doesnt need the support bearing its only 5/8 i think. It has no holes so i welded 'tabs' to the inside of the recess.
I still needed the 12 point locking ring to grip the bolt though.
I subsequently changed the gearbox for the later type which has a large nut instead of the dubious bolt arrangement.

Its got a sprocket from a ZZR1100, which has an offset as standard.. pic here, in the pic its just slid on the splines, may or may not be aligned with the rear sprocket.. that is still on back order, as its needs to be a blank, so it can be drilled to fit the rear wheel hub.

On the RHS is one of my older sprockets (no holes) with the Kawasaki bolt stopper welded to it.
On the LHS is a ZZR sprocket (same as yours) with a copy of the original welded to it.
It wont have escaped youre notice that the ZZR sprocket is shorter along the splines than a standard one and therefore needs a small spacer behind it to stop the shaft protruding beyond the sprocket face.
