Rims were very rust pitted, I almost went and bought a set of plain chrome steel rims but in a fit of stupidity decided to restore them
Ended up having to get the date codes engraved deeper so they could be polished out.

They came up well after a bucket of cash was thrown over them
A set of new spokes and laced 'em up

New new TT100 rubber, and good to go!

Meanwhile...back at the Guru's house, progress was being made on rebuilding the engine
New set of 2nd oversize pistons required along with re-bore.
New set of valves.
Gaskets, seals and various small missing /buggered parts

Bought a correct set of carbs. Old bike had Z900 carbs with it. :(
These are nice and clean and should be plug and play.

Like the rest of the bike, everything had been stripped down...
Switches included. The blocks had been repainted but in a thick glossy black.
Only one thing for it

Much better :D

Can see the date codes now...

Paintwork Looks very much like colour scheme from or of the Z1’s in the 1974 film Australian cult film “STONE”.

Love it - Absolutely stunning.
