This isn't far from me however I know next to nothing about these. Is it worth a look or is it a steer clear? I haven't contacted the seller so I only know as much as the ad says.
Cheers

Thanks Nigel, just rang the chap. He's owned it since 2008, original exhausts apparently in good nick, dented tank but everything original (apart from the small mods that he didn't do). The big issue is that the engine is seized and he thinks the cam chain has snapped.

Just done a google on frame and engine numbers before I ask the seller. Is it correct that these would be KZT10A******* for the frame and KZT10BE***** for the engine if it's a GPZ1100A1 1983?

Bought it, just got to wait a week to pick it up (lockdown). I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions when I find lots of surprises.

We'll see how good when the engine gets stripped to see how much damage the bust cam chain has done if it is that, just what the owner told me???? Hopefully if he honours the deposit I'll have it back here in a week...

Off to look at it Monday evening. I take it these have the 'can't get out of 1st above xmph' Is there any way of overriding the mechanism with a seized engine. Clutched. Like to see if the gearbox is good using the back wheel.
Cheers

I think you can pull clutch & turn rear wheel to change up to 2nd, etc?

Good buy - not goodbye :??
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Bought it, no photos 'til tomorrow as it's still in the back of my van, it was just starting to go dark when I got back.
Summary, bad point...engine popped at speed, so probably lots of damage. Will know soon.
Good points....(notice pointS). All the original bits bar the the front indicators are in boxes with original fasteners, nose and frame, rear end, rear mudguard, number plate mount and rear light. It also comes with a spare, in bits, engine. The original pipes are really good. It has never been horizontal, the dent in the tank was done by the chap who I bought it off when he took the tank off and it fell off wherever he had rested it. Straight edge down the wheels seems to back this up.
He was chuffed someone was buying it to put it back on the road and not to break it.
Photos to follow tomorrow.
Pete
