Z1-B resurrection after 43 years

#1 PostAuthor: steve452 » Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:45 pm

Well I finally glued it together after being in pieces for 43 years (the bike, not me). Now to try and get it re-registered with the original plate.

Oops! Just realised that the tacho drive cable is still hanging over the front mudguard. First job tomorrow.

Great looking bike! you need to get a "Short" tail light bracket the one you have fitted is for the long UK guard.

John, what I need is a long UK mudguard! The bracket is the original. I'll get the guard when I buy the flying pigs and the hen's teeth.

Lovely bike, it's great to see another original UK registered Zed on the road - I know it shouldn't make any difference (and doesn't to many) but I think there's something special about Uk bikes. What's the story of the 43 year 'hibernation'?

But before anyone comments, I know they're all made in Japan........unless it happens to be the A5.
