Hi guys!
5 years ago I bought an old and tired Kawasaki from a guy nearby. He owned it for many years. Finally it got parked in his garage and never rode it again. I advertised in a local paper that I was searching for Kawasaki motorcycles or parts. He read the paper an gave me an call. I went there and bought the bike for a good price.

After I bought it, I started taking it apart. I wanted to do a full restoration. I new it's gonna cost me a lot of time and money. But the restoration is the best part!
Re: Kawasaki Z1A from Holland
When the engine was apart I started vapor blasting all the parts:

Vapour blasting - a great invention

Hi Lex
great work you're doing! I can see that the pistons are first oversize (0.50). It could be usefull to install new piston rings and to hone the cylinders. If the bike stood so long there might be a little damage to the cylinder walls and the piston rings could be "tired".
Since the engine is completly taken apart change the complete distribution system, you won't regret it in the future.
If you need names of suppliers don't hesitate to ask! (zend gerust een PM)
Good luck

Re: Kawasaki Z1A from Holland
After a lot of hours vapor blasting it was time to build up the engine again. This was the result:

I forgot to take the cam cover to the polish company. But it got done with the other stuff, hub's and front fork tubes.
