Have you ever bought from any of these sites? iv tried and just about everything is bathed in oil apparently so they wont ship it. If you have found a back door id love to know it as there are some choice items on here.

I probably buy now about 2-3 times a year as the rare parts I used to buy have dried up even there.just bought a set of wp forks about 6 wks ago & no problems with the oil

Re: 1400 Mk2 Restomod
A question for those of you with GPS speedos.. does the GPS sender need a clear few of the sky. or can it be fitted underneath the tail section, seat etc?? I read conflicting info on this.
Re: 1400 Mk2 Restomod
yup, mine is mounted in the tail section as well.
Re: 1400 Mk2 Restomod
Thats good to know, thanks chaps, though at the moment the GPS sender I want is out of stock.
Re: 1400 Mk2 Restomod
Mounted the M-Unit without having to add anymore holes to the frame, will cut down the alloy mounting plate at some point, but for now leaving it, as may want to bolt something else to it, such as the horn.
Made a cardboard template for the rear part of the mudguard, then make it in 1.2mm stainless plate. Bit of a gap on either side, which I may need to address, but then again this bike wont be seeing rain if I can help it.
The headlight mount is coming along, though need to make the wide part of the alloy ears look better, not decided how yet..

Looks good, any particular reason why you are mounting the motogadget on the right side, I usually make up a plate and mount it on the left with the starter solenoid and main fuse in the same plate, then regulator/rectifier and brake fluid reservoir on the left.
Of course it’s up to you but just wondered if you had a cunning plan!

Yes that was my initial plan, but turned out the rectifier could be fitted to the existing mounts under the left side panel, so that's where it went. The frame was already powder coated when I got it, so didn't want to be drilling new holes in the side of the battery box. So the M unit went under the right hand side panel, this time using a 10mm thick alloy mounting plate, so again it could use the existing captive nuts.
Normally I run the wiring down the left hand side of the bike, as its less visible when the bike is on its side stand, particularly around the headstock. May still that with this bike, means running the main loom across the bike just behind the tank. Will see how it works out when I start wiring the bike.
The switches and speedo/tacho should be here by now, but seems they may be stuck in a PO sorting office due to strike action.
