Carb Update
Spent some time fettling on Sat, stripped and cleaned the carbs, replaced fuel filter and fitted pingel tap from debbens.
Took it for a spin but couldn't get above 70! Problem was fuel starvation. Seems fuel filter was restricting flow, popped down to the bike shop and bought a rebuildable filter and and replaced.
Went back out and got to the end of the road and fuel was every where, bloody pipe split at tthe carbs
Replaced all the pipes refitted carbs quick spin and all seemed ok.
Didn't get to ride until today seemed alright but after 10 miles it was running like a pig. Stripped carbs again and found this ---->
all back together, floats set carbs balanced now having a beer or 2

Think Simple (Duh)
Decided to get the shim clearances checked by the local Kawasaki dealer in Guildford as I can't see me getting to them whilst I sort out the carburation and electrics.
Gave instructions for shims only and asked if they can identify the carbs. They had the bike for 2 days as the cam cover seal had gone and they had wait for one to be delivered.
Collected last night and they said the gaps were all in tolerance though 1 was close to having too large a gap but was still in tolerance. They also checked the carbs over plus ignition and found one of the spark plugs was fouled, they replaced all the plugs and balanced the carbs (in the time we agreed for the shim check)
What a difference! Riding it home last night and today very smooth and bags more power and no flat spot!
There's me going to put on an airbox rather pods and all I needed to do was check the plugs and balance the bleedin' carbs (both of which I did when I first got her a few months ago) Duh Duh Duh live and learn, keep it simple
