GSXR 1100 ENGINE

#1 PostAuthor: brian 450 » Mon Sep 22, 2008 3:33 pm

Does any one know how easy it is to fit a GSXR engine in a Z900 frame?

I`m sure there was one at the POD a few weeks ago ?

Some of the others that were there will confirm maybe ?

I`d say why not tune the Zed, but s`pose it will be cheaper to fit the Suzy lump.

Now now Chrisu.

I know a Zed engine would be tidier but if it`s cheap well then why not ?

chris

you misunderstand me - I didn't say I didn't like it. As a streetfighted Z owner I'd be the last one to criticise...........

It was an attempt at humour - failed obviously !

You got me wrong too Chrisu.

So long as it`s not an `On*a.

GSXR oil cooled motors` are well cool and the next level from the air cooled Zed in the coolness stakes.

My mate ran a GS550 with a GSXR750 motor to win the MCN streetbike series back in the day.

Still reckon a modded bike is best done in the "less is more" school of thought.
Like your swinger on the Z1R.

To Brian 45.0, do what you feel mate. Just don`t use any H**********a parts :!:

Chrisu was probably refering to way in which it was TACKED together :??

Gixxer motors are well cool......... Bring it on
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

I have the Z1b and a gixer1100 both awasome machines and love em both for different reasons but I personaly think the 1100 motor in the Zed frame looks a little.....well......'fugly'
I love standard zeds and I equally love modded zeds but that looks wrong  Sorry
I do exactly what it says on the tin..............and its Dave if you must know
