i rode about on it in the summer after giving it a bit of a clean & replacing most of the chrome, but there was still a good amount of crud on(i'm sorry i can't get round this king of the road male thing)her

Most of the pictures were for my own use when putting things back together again, wish i had thought about it a bit more at the time :(

The bike was purchased by me from spike island motorcycles in Eastleigh nr. Southampton, it was very rough, it had no rear guard, the front was a short plastic thing, it had a horrible home made 4 into 1, no indicators & had a mk2 engine fitted which probably burnt more oil than petrol.

so i spent the next year replacing all the horrible or missing bits with bright new chrome, here's a pic of the good parts that i would be re using

The wheels that came with the bike were both 18" mags & the back one didn't fit correctly, in fact it was so far out the disc was visibly warped & it all needed re spacing, luckily Guyzed sold me the mags off his A2
heres one back from being blasted

Also picked up a replacement engine off ebay, swapped it with the original connected it up & she fired up on about 3rd go & runs really sweetly, i only paid £335 for it, bargain :biggrin

here's the engine after blasting

Picked up the paint work last thursday from Revolution in Reading, Berks, this is the same lot that did Guyzed's bike, they do a really good job at a reasoable price( Graham, the owner is a biker too)

decided on a black & green contrasting scheem in Z1 design
