Here's one from the front. Got a nice roundy headlight going on as soon as i finish the mount. Quick spec of motor - Dry blocked 1000A cases + gearbox. welded Z900 crank. 8-1 comp 1075 wiseco's. 1000 J head ,eight plugged/gasflowed/skimmed 1.3mm. std cams dialled in at 110 deg. blower geared for 8 to 10 psi boost for running in. plus all the usual APE/Liska/Falicon/Orient express/Camellia/PMC/Dyna and my own bits'n'bobs here and there.

Hi. you will see that i have external oil feeds (for a cooler oil flow) to the cams, so there is no need for the oil to run up the rear outer studs, so the small hole in the crankcase at either end of the main gallery is plugged and also in the head so that oil cannot flow down ,hence the Dry block. Originally used to prevent oil seepage and a resulting lowered oil pressure on big bore drag engines (especially with copper head gaskets)where the gasket area is greatly reduced.
