I managed to view it yesterday,as i can get trade day tickets,it looks very good indeed, even met the owner,in my opinion it was the best bike on the stand, for some reason a v twin one off was in the middle of the stand,it looked unfinished to me but won best in show,no idea why.

More development for the Drouin.

Brand spankers S&S Super 'G' shorty carb.
Just a little bit bigger than the Mr Turbo carb i had fitted :)

First job was to make up a new flange

PICT1009.jpg
PICT1009.jpg (27.96 KiB) Viewed 4629 times

Then knock up this simple jig to keep the carb angle correct

Carb needs spacing out 20mm so that its accelerator pump doesn't foul the frame

PICT1014.jpg

Now to chop off the old mount and face it up on the lathe
PICT1016.jpg
PICT1016.jpg (75.59 KiB) Viewed 4631 times

And bore a hole the same dia as the new carb
PICT1017.jpg

Then open up the manifold so the fuel has a less restricted run to the blower
PICT1018.jpg

Now just got to bridge the gap
